Our mission is to champion arts for all by supporting scholarships and advocacy that make arts learning experiences through the Center for Community Arts accessible to everyone in our community.
Imagine a place right in your neighborhood where creativity brings people together.
A place where you can drop in for an evening of art-making and connect with neighbors and friends.
Where your preschooler can explore and learn through the arts every day.
Where your teen can discover their voice and confidence through improv or painting or music.
You don’t have to imagine it—it's happening right here in Walnut Creek’s Northgate neighborhood at the Center for Community Arts, where creativity and community meet.
Our primary purpose is to raise funds that are used to provide scholarships for children, teens, adults and seniors with financial need who want to participate in arts programs offered by Center for Community Arts.
The Community Arts Foundation is an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. We are a 100% volunteer- based organization made up of passionate advocates who raise funds to provide need-based scholarships enabling children, teens, adults and seniors to participate in the wide range of visual and performing arts programs offered by Center for Community Arts.

In Memoriam: The Denise Campana Scholarship Fund
Remembering Denise Hannabeth Campana (January 31, 1937- September 26, 2025)
Denise Hannabeth Campana was a devoted wife, loving mother, and gifted artist. Born in Berkeley, California in 1937, Denise lived a life rich in warmth and creativity. Her art reflected her soul—kind, searching, and filled with love. Whether she was painting outside or inside her home studio, she had an extraordinary gift for seeing colors and balance, feeling emotions, and putting that together in diverse modalities of art.
Denise was a lifelong learner who embraced every opportunity to grow and contribute to her community. She often attended art classes through the Center for Community Arts! Denise’s talents were boundless, extending beyond painting to include sewing, needlepoint, flower arranging, ceramics, literary works and cooking.
In memory of her passion for the arts and her love for her community, the Campana family has chosen to recognize Denise through an annual scholarship so her legacy may live on through the arts.
Thank you to Denise’s friends and family for their generous support for the 2026 Denise Campana Scholarship Fund:
